Live countdown timers
for emails and websites

Deadlines sell. A live countdown turns “ends soon” into urgency your audience can feel — in every inbox and on every page — and urgency into clicks and orders. One design, one URL, no code.

One timer, two places

Every countdown gets a single public URL — and every second of it nudges your audience to act. The timer below is live, and every embedded copy ticks in sync.

In your emails

<img src="https://tikio.io/e/…gif?uid=*|UNIQID|*">

Paste it as an image into any campaign. Per-recipient deadlines via your ESP's merge tags.

On your website

<iframe src="https://tikio.io/e/…" width="480" height="140"></iframe>

One line of HTML — paste it into any landing page or shop. No scripts, no JS.

One link, any deadline

The countdown lives in the URL — change a parameter, not the link. No new links for every campaign, no re-publishing.

A fixed deadline. New date next campaign? Edit the parameter — same link.

A personal 24-hour countdown for every recipient, starting at their first open.

Same design, localized labels — one link covers every locale.

URL parameters

target
The deadline. An ISO date like 2026-08-01T20:00 or unix seconds — or your ESP’s merge tag to give every recipient their own date. Doubles as the anchor for cycle and the start for countup.
duration
Evergreen length in seconds — e.g. 86400 for 24 hours. The countdown runs from the moment the timer is first seen.
uid
A recipient key (use your ESP’s merge tag). With duration, each recipient gets a personal countdown from their first open — reopening doesn’t reset it.
lang
Label language — any locale you baked into the design, e.g. lang=de. Defaults to the design’s first language.
cycle
Recurring countdown: the cycle length in seconds — e.g. 86400 for a daily reset. Counts down to the next boundary, then starts over. Add target to anchor the cycle.
countup
Set countup=1 to count up instead of down — the time elapsed since the target start, for “since launch” or “X days since” counters.

Six parameters — that’s the whole API. No scripts, no webhooks, nothing to install.

Design it your way

A visual editor for the whole timer — what you see is exactly what your audience gets.

  • Style every part

Frame, boxes, digits, labels and separators — each with its own look.

  • Solid colors & gradients

Fills for the frame, boxes and text, with a full gradient editor.

  • Any font & weight

Pick typefaces and weights for digits and labels independently.

  • 3- or 4-block layouts

Days–hours–minutes, or add a ticking seconds block — switch anytime.

  • 12 languages

Localized labels from one design: English, Deutsch, Français, Español and more.

  • Evergreen timers

A personal deadline per recipient — the countdown starts when they first open it.

Works with

…and any ESP or page builder that accepts custom HTML.

How it works

  1. Design

Pick colors, fonts and languages in the editor — what you see is what lands in the inbox.

  2. Publish

One click and your countdown is live. Every open shows a fresh image with the exact time left — in milliseconds.

  3. Paste one URL

Drop it as an <img> into your email or an <iframe> on your site. Deadline and language live in the URL, so one design covers everything.
